The increasing use of digital technologies in education has created new opportunities to expand access to learning, enrich teaching-learning experiences and support diverse learner needs. In alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly Chapter 24 on Technology Use and Integration, which emphasises the systematic use of online and digital education while addressing equity, access and the digital divide, CIET-NCERT is organising an online training programme on “eLearning.” The programme aims to strengthen teachers’ understanding of the concepts, principles and practices of eLearning and its role in enriching the teaching-learning process. Key themes include understanding the concept, need and scope of eLearning; exploring principles and models of eLearning; designing effective and learner-centred eLearning experiences; using digital resources and online platforms; personalising learning to address diverse learner needs; and using technology-enabled assessment and learning analytics to monitor learner progress and support learning. The course also focuses on learner support, inclusive eLearning practices and the purposeful integration of technology with pedagogy and learning objectives. Participants will gain practical understanding of using digital resources, online platforms, assessment strategies and learner-centred approaches to facilitate effective eLearning experiences. The programme aims to strengthen teachers’ capacity to integrate eLearning into teaching-learning processes in alignment with the vision of NEP 2020.
