Teachers learn to integrate play-based pedagogies, such as games, storytelling, songs, and hands-on activities, to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy. The module also emphasizes building strong partnerships with parents and the community to support children's learning beyond the classroom, while promoting inclusive practices that ensure every child—regardless of ability, background, language, or learning pace—participates actively and achieves learning outcomes in a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom.

Gnana Prakash – Year 3 builds upon the strong foundations established during Years 1 and 2, with a focused emphasis on strengthening practical classroom implementation and improving teaching-learning processes. The programme aims to reinforce teachers’ understanding through revision and reflection on Year 2 learnings while promoting play-based pedagogy and age-appropriate classroom practices to enhance student engagement. It emphasizes the effective use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) and School Readiness Materials (SRMs) to create joyful and meaningful learning experiences. Special attention is given to the age-appropriate introduction of English through songs, stories, rhymes, and play-based activities. The programme also encourages the integration of digital platforms, particularly DIKSHA, for continuous learning, classroom support, and monitoring. Furthermore, Year 3 strengthens parent participation and communication to build a supportive learning environment and reinforces key themes such as inclusive education, gender sensitivity, health and nutrition, and child protection to ensure holistic child development.

For the Gnana Jyothi – Year 2 (120-Day Certificate Course), a structured Pre–Post Assessment is integrated into the in-person training to measure participants’ learning progress. The pre-test is conducted on Day 1 to assess the baseline knowledge and understanding of participants on key areas such as play-based methodology, child development, community engagement, assessment practices, and inclusive education. The post-test is administered on Day 6 at the end of the training to evaluate the improvement in their knowledge and conceptual clarity. The comparison of Day 1 and Day 6 results helps in measuring the effectiveness of the training, identifying learning gains, and ensuring that participants are better equipped to implement the course components effectively at their Anganwadi centres.
